About Cole van den Helder

Cole van den Helder is a filmmaker, editor, and photographer based in Los Angeles. Raised in San Diego, he developed a love for the arts early on, exploring both film and music. A multi-instrumentalist, Cole studied piano, saxophone, and clarinet, performing in jazz ensembles, symphonies, and bands spanning rock, blues, and reggae.

After graduating college as a Division I baseball athlete and gaining professional experience in the mental health field, Cole redirected his focus to film, returning to school to formally study the craft. Today, he draws on his background in psychology and his diverse creative influences to bring depth, perspective, and originality to his work in filmmaking, photography, and composition.
